| Ready for the Harvest?
The world is a shambles and getting worse every day. People all over the world are asking:
Why were our homes destroyed by earthquakes, fires and flooding? Why is there so much violence and warfare? Why is the economy so bad? Why is my job gone? What will happen next? Why is the world a shambles? Mankind was allowed to run amuck in this world for many thousands of years. Just look at what we have accomplished! What does the world have? Poverty and famines. Widespread hatred. Oppression, wars, pollution, disease, squalor, unrest and despair. Not only that, but the problems are growing! Not once have the governmental leaders of this world, in their wisdom, ever solved any of these problems in any country. They never have and never will. Because of widespread corruption and incompetence, the world’s leaders solely look out for their own interests and disregard the problems of the people they supposedly serve. Who can save the world from certain disaster? "...for they shall cry unto Jehovah because of oppressors, and he will send them a saviour, and a defender, and he will deliver them." (Isaiah 19:20) (ASV)
"...At the time that God has already decided, he will send Christ back again." (1Timothy 6:15) (CEV) That is wonderful news! Jehovah and His son are about to do something about the havoc and chaos in the world soon.
But what must occur first? A small thing – and yet – a large accomplishment! Before God’s son takes over, all of his true followers must stop calling him "Jesus". Why? "The Hebrews called their coming Savior, the Messiah, Jahshuawah (Jehoshua). The disciples of the Savior accepted Him as such, and to them He was known as Jahshuwah the Messiah. The Greeks, however, rejected the Hebrew name, and called Him (IESOUS-Jesus) instead." - The Origin of Christianity by A.B. Traina "It is interesting to note - that throughout his life - the one now known as Jesus Christ never did hear himself called by that name." - "Man’s Great Adventure," by Edwin W. Pharlow, professor of history, Ohio State University.
"It is known that the Greek name endings with sus, seus and sous were attached by the Greeks to names and geographical areas as means to give honour to their supreme deity, Zeus." -Dictionary of Christian Lore and Legend Professor J. C. J. Metford
That is why. God’s son is not Jesus! Just as the Bible translators substituted "GOD" and "LORD" for God’s actual name, Jehovah, they also painstakingly traded "Jesus" for "Jehoshua" in place of Christ’s true name. Has it always been that way? "In the 1611 KJ New Testatment the name Yahshua (Yehoshua) appeared originally wherever the Messiah was spoken of. Yehoshua means Yehovah's (Jehovah's) Salvation. Later the Messiah's name was replaced with Iesus (Greek) which later in the 1600's it became Jesus starting with the new English letter 'J' which was introduced at that time. Further, the Greek 'Iesus' comes from the name Zeus, the ruling God in the Greek pantheon." -Gospel of The Kingdom True Names and Title Dr. Henry Clifford Kinley 1931 - Ohio USA
Instead, true Christians will let go of Christendom’s three-headed trinity god named Jesus and call our savior by his correct name. Jehoshua Christ's name (Jehoshua) is of Hebrew origin and is taken from the name Yehoshua, which in English is often translated as Joshua. Yehoshua, in Hebrew means "Yehovah Saves". -Strong's Exhaustive Concordance Jehoshua was the name given to Christ by his heavenly Father, Jehovah God. Many years after his death - Rome changed his name to suit their pagan heritage and to please their pagan converts. "Ieous" was Greek for "Hail Zeus", which was translated later into English as "Jesus". And this error has continued to the present. "The name Joshua (Jehoshua) derives its greatest importance and highest sanctity from the fact that it was sacredly chosen as the name to be borne by the Messiah. This name was corrupted and altered in time into the name Jesus." --Personal Names in the Bible by Dr. W.F. Wilkinson, M.A. Joint Editor of Webster and Wilkinson's Greek Testament: pages 342-343.
"Jesus. That was a name given to him many years after His death. Rome wanted to remove any Jewishness from the new church. They eliminated His Jewish name and blended the name of Zeus in order to make it comfortable for all those who had previously worshipped the Greek and Roman gods. Since Zeus was the top god of their experience, attaching the name Ioesus (hail Zeus) to Yahshua - gave Him top priority in the worship hierarchy." -Winds of Praise Broadcasting Believer or Follower? The Sound of the Shofar By Jon Thompson CHRIST DECLARED : "I have come in My Father's name and with His power..." (John 5:43) (AMP)
And as we can plainly see, that name is not "Jesus"! Christ will not take action on behalf of his true followers until they give up their "J-zeus" error. Only when Jehovah's people begin to call upon "Jehoshua" - will they obtain the Salvation that Jehovah has promised to them. But some will balk against such a change! They will resist this request from God's Chosen King. For whatever reason, there are some that will rather leave Jehovah's earthly organization rather than call Christ "Jehoshua". That would be "the weeds". "The owner's servants came to him and said, 'Sir, didn't you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?' 'An enemy did this,' he replied. "The servants asked him, 'Do you want us to go and pull them up?' 'No,' he answered, 'because while you are pulling the weeds, you may root up the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.' " (Matthew 13:27-30) (NIV)
All over the world weeds have been sown in with the faithful. They have served Jehovah side by side for some time now just as Jehoshua Christ said they would. The time has finally come to sort the weeds from the wheat.
"Be patient like those farmers and don't give up. The Lord will soon be here!" (James 5:8) (CEV)
"...I know you can't stomach evil, that you weed out apostolic pretenders..." (Revelation 2:2) (MSG)
"...limp souls. Useless as weeds, fragile as grass, insubstantial as wind-blown chaff." (2Kings 19:26) (MSG) "...Soon, oh very soon, her harvest will come and then the chaff will fly!'" (Jeremiah 51:29) (MSG)
"I know your deeds... You have kept My word, and have not denied My name." (Revelation 3:8) (NASB) And it was for this very reason that Christ waited so long to reveal this truth to his followers. The Harvest wasn't ready and he didn't want to uproot the wheat with the weeds. But now that will not be a problem anymore because the Harvest is ready. The First Command directed to Jehovah's people by God's chosen King, Jehoshua, is to begin calling Christ by his rightful name. It is not a difficult thing to do but it will mean putting God and Christ first in our lives and it may also mean a loss of favor with the rest of the Jesus-worshiping world. A similar but tremendous dividing work happened when Jehovah God began to take out of the nations A People For His name. When the International Bible Students made the decision to become "Jehovah’s Witnesses" - to fulfil Bible Prophecy and identify themselves as His people, some fell away - as they were weed-like and refused to be called by Jehovah's Divine Name.
This same dividing or separating - is happening again today - at this time of "The End". But now, instead of Jehovah’s name separating true followers from the unfaithful, this time it will be the name of God's Son, "Jehoshua" Christ that will uproot the weeds that were sown by Satan. A choice has to be made. A choice will be made. One way or the other - each of us will choose the side on which we will stand. From such a small change will come a tremendous accomplisment. THE HARVEST IS ON! The wheat and weeds are about to be sorted and gathered. Which side will we choose? "Jesus" or "Jehoshua"? "Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach. No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it." (Deuteronomy 30:11,14) (NIV) "...YOU will by no means see me until YOU say, ‘Blessed is he that comes in Jehovah’s name.’" (Luke 13:35) (NWT) "There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12) (NLT) "Blessed is he who is coming In the name of Jehovah..." (Psalm 118:26) (YLT) And while we are at it… ARE YOU SAYING "AMEN" – IN IGNORANCE ? "By ending our prayers in 'amen'... one could very well ask, "Have we been misled to invoke the name of the Egyptian 'Sun-god' at the end of our prayers?" -United Hebrew Congregation Charles J. Voss
It is common to end a discourse on spiritual matters, (or end a prayer) with (the word) "Amen". Few of us realize that the word 'Amen' is an Egyptian word. It refers to the Egyptian god of Thebes. The Hebrews adopted the word and it passed into Christian use as "Amen". It is a petition for (the god - Amen) to fulfill our words. - MYSTIC GIFTS FROM ANCIENT EGYPT By Dr John Palo ; 1999 The Israelite exiles from Egypt knew that Jehovah was not the same as the Egyptian god Aten, and so they presumed he must be the equivalent of the great State God of Egypt. It was decided, therefore, to add the name of that State-god of Egypt to all prayers thereafter, and the name of that Egyptian god was "Amen". To this day, the name of Amen is still recited at the end of prayers in both Jewish and Christian religions. - Genesis of the Grail Kings by Sir Laurence Gardner; pg. 6 Finally, we may note that the word "Amen" occurs in gnostic spells… especially of Egyptian origin, and a sort of magical efficacy seems to have been attributed to this word.. The practice of answering "Amen" at the end of prayers appears in the Canons of Hippolytus (No. 146) and in the Egyptian Church Order (p. 101). - New Advent Catholic Encyclopedia Thurston, Herbert. "Amen." The Catholic Encyclopedia. Vol. 1. New York: Robert Appleton Company, 1907. When we did it in ignorance, maybe God looked past that. But now that you know the truth, what will you do? Will you continue to use the name of a pagan god to close your prayers? Is it too hard to change that now? Because you’ve been using the ‘amen’ tradition for a long time - will you rationalize and justify why you keep on invoking the name of the Egyptian god, Amen? Will you find a pastor or teacher to reassure you that "it’s okay to say ‘amen’ - Or will you give thanks to God for revealing His truth and stop using the name of a pagan god?" -And they all Said, "AMEN" by J.D. Roberts The true followers of Jehovah and His son will know what to do.

| The "Hand of Jehovah" One of the most popular messages the church crowd hears from their Christendom priests and ministers is "God loves you - just as you are". While it is absolutely true that God loves us as His children, He does not love evil people doing evil things. He never has and never will. Jehovah has executed judgment on wrongdoers many times in the past and many people criticize Him for taking such drastic action. Yet, how else can we expect God to protect the good people from the evil ones? "that all the peoples of the earth may know the HAND of Jehovah, that it is mighty; that ye may fear Jehovah your God - for ever." (Joshua 4:24) (American Standard Version) Fear God? Why? Why should we be afraid of God if He is a God of love?
"I will cause them to know MY HAND -and- MY MIGHT and they shall Know that MY NAME is Jehovah." (Jeremiah 16:21) (Young's Literal Translation) Do we have something to worry about?
"but if ye will not hearken unto the voice of Jehovah, but rebel against the commandment of Jehovah, then will the HAND of Jehovah be against you..." (1Samuel 12:15) (ASV) "...JEHOVAH... in thy HAND there is POWER and MIGHT - and none can withstand thee." (2Chronicles 20:6) (Darby) Just how much does God love us as we are? Did God almost exterminate all of us once? 5 The Lord observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil. 6 So the Lord was sorry he had ever made them and put them on the earth. It broke his heart. 7 And the Lord said, “I will wipe this human race I have created from the face of the earth. Yes, and I will destroy every living thing—all the people, the large animals, the small animals that scurry along the ground, and even the birds of the sky. I am sorry I ever made them.” (Genesis 6:5-7) (New Living Translation) What about judgment against cities full of people? 23 The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot came unto Zoar. 24 Then Jehovah rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from Jehovah out of heaven; 25 and he overthrew those cities, and all the Plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground. (Genesis 19:23-25) (ASV) 1 Then the LORD said to Moses, "See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron will be your prophet. 2 You are to say everything I command you, and your brother Aaron is to tell Pharaoh to let the Israelites go out of his country. 3 But I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and though I multiply my miraculous signs and wonders in Egypt, 4 he will not listen to you. Then I will lay my hand on Egypt and with mighty acts of judgment I will bring out my divisions, my people the Israelites. 5 And the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD when I stretch out my hand against Egypt and bring the Israelites out of it." (Exodus 7:1-5) (New International Version) There are many more stories in the Bible about Jehovah’s judgement. They are there to teach us that Jehovah means business. It is a bad idea to keep on believing that He will never get angry with us. Jehovah is a loving God but He has His limits. Does Jehovah see everything we are doing? The Eyes of Jehovah...
"...the EYES of Jehovah... run to and fro through the whole earth." (Zechariah 4:10) (ASV) "The EYES of Jehovah are in every place, Keeping watch upon the evil and the good." (Proverbs 15:3) (ASV) "For the ways of man are before the EYES of Jehovah, and he pondereth all his paths." (Proverbs 5:21) (Darby) "For God carefully WATCHES the way that people live; he sees everything they do. No darkness is thick enough to hide the wicked from his EYES. For it is not up to mortals to decide when to come before God in judgment. He will openly strike them down for their wickedness. For they turned aside from following him. They have no respect for any of his ways." (Job 34:21-23) (New Living Translation) "From heaven the LORD looks down and sees all mankind; from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth-" (Psalm 33:13,14) (NIV) "Behold, the EYE of Jehovah is upon them that fear him, Upon them that hope in his lovingkindness; To deliver their soul from death, And to keep them alive..." (Psalm 33:18,19) (ASV) "Don't say, "I didn't know it!" God can read your mind. He WATCHES each of us ; and knows our thoughts. And God will pay us back for what we do." (Proverbs 24:12) (Contemporary English Version) "The eyes of Jehovah are toward the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. The face of Jehovah is against them that do evil, To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth." (Psalm 34:15,16) (ASV)
Many people blithely believe that Jehovah does not exist, does not care or cannot do anything about the evil things that people are doing. But that is not what the Bible warns! "They say, "God can't see! He's got on a blindfold." The wicked don't respect you. In their hearts they say, 'God won't punish us!' But you see the trouble and the distress, and you will do something..." (Psalm 10:11,13,14) (CEV) "You make God tired with all your talk. "How do we tire him out?" you ask. By saying, "God loves sinners and sin alike. God loves all." And also by saying, "Judgment? God's too nice to judge." (Malachi 2:17) (Message Bible) "Because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed quickly, therefore the hearts of the sons of men among them are given fully to do evil." (Ecclesiastes 8:11) (New American Standard Bible) Jehovah has definite plans for evil, disobedient people. "Jehovah is in his holy temple; Jehovah, his throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, his eyelids try the children of men. Upon the wicked he will rain snares; Fire and brimstone and burning wind shall be the portion of their cup." (Psalm 11:4,6) (ASV) "I will pour out my vengeance on all... that refuse to OBEY me." (Micah 5:15) (NLT) "If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God." (Hebrews 10:26,27) (NIV) Jehovah has sent Christ back to execute His judgment "...for they shall cry unto Jehovah because of oppressors, and he will send them a saviour, and a defender, and he will deliver them." (Isaiah 19:20) (ASV) "...At the time that God has already decided, he will send Jesus Christ back again." (1Timothy 6:15) (CEV) "The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels. The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will "WEED OUT" of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil." (Matthew 13:36-41) (NIV)
"...This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. He will punish those who do NOT know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power on the day he comes to be glorified." (2Thessalonians 1:7-10) (NIV) JESUS DECLARED : "I have come in My Father's name and with His power..." (John 5:43) (Amplified Bible) Divine Reward and Punishment Foolish people believe that it is enough just to know who Jesus is. They believe that Jesus also loves us no matter what. The Bible's prophets indicate that there is far more to know than that. 5 But because you are stubborn and refuse to turn from your sin, you are storing up terrible punishment for yourself. For a day of anger is coming, when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed. 6 He will judge everyone according to what they have done. 7 He will give eternal life to those who keep on doing good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers. 8 But he will pour out his anger and wrath on those who live for themselves, who refuse to obey the truth and instead live lives of wickedness. (Romans 2:5-8) (NLT) "...they do NOT listen to God's word or OBEY it, and so they meet the fate that has been planned for them." (1Peter 2:8) (NLT) "...God requires obedience to all of his commands." (Romans 10:5) (NLT) "See that you do all I command you; do not add to it or take away from it." (Deuteronomy 12:32) (NIV) "God will give to each person according to what he has done." (Romans 2:6) (NIV) "...each will receive his own reward according to his own labor. " (1Corinthians 3:8) (NASB) "And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books." (Revelation 20:12) (NIV) "And remember that the heavenly Father to whom you pray has no favorites when he judges. He will judge or reward you according to what you do. So you must live in reverent fear of him..." (1Peter 1:17) (NLT) "You see that a man is justified - pronounced righteous before God - through what he does and not alone through faith..." (James 2:24) (AMP) "I, Jehovah, search the mind, I try the heart, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings." (Jeremiah 17:10) (ASV) People complain that God is being mean. "How can a loving God have such terrible plans for us? How can He be called a God of Love?" Are they terrible plans or are the evil and violent people just getting what they deserve? "For yet a little while, and the evildoers will be no more; though you look with care where they used to be, they will not be found. But the meek in the end shall inherit the earth and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace." (Psalm 37:10,11) (AMP) "For evil-doers shall be cut off; But those that wait for Jehovah, they shall inherit the earth. For just a little while longer, and the wicked ones shall be no more: Yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and he shall not be. But the meek shall inherit the earth, And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace... The righteous shall inherit the earth, And dwell therein for ever... Wait for Jehovah, and keep his way, And he will exalt thee to inherit the earth; When the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it." (Psalm 37:9-11,29,34) (ASV) "...And you will destroy all who have caused destruction on the earth." (Revelation 11:18) (NLT) This prophecy is just one of many made long ago for the benefit of Jehovah's people. From waht we can see in the news daily, Jehovah is already actively giving the wicked their due. None of the upheaval in the world will affect the people who devote themselves to Jehovah. Christ, himself, assured Jehovah's people that their patience and devotion will be rewarded.
"Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth." (Matthew 5:5) (King James Version) What kind of Earth do the meek want, the violent, chaotic world we have today or a kinder, gentler world? "This world as you see it - is on its way out." (1Corinthians 7:31) (Message Bible) "But God has promised us a new heaven and a new earth, where justice will rule. We are really looking forward to that!" (2Peter 3:13) (CEV) It will be a much quieter and better world indeed! "Look! I am creating... A NEW EARTH -- so wonderful that no one will even think about the old one anymore." (Isaiah 65:17) (NLT) "He will swallow up death for ever; and the Lord Jehovah will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the reproach of his people will he take away from off all the earth.." (Isaiah 25:8) (ASV) "...And He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more, neither shall there be anguish nor grief nor pain any more, for the old conditions and the former order of things have passed away." (Revelation 21:1-5) (AMP) These prophecies are going to become fulfilled very shortly!

| Compromise or Stand Firm? Standing Firm for our beliefs is the opposite of "Compromise".
With Pagan Holidays to amuse and distract us, will we STAND FIRM and show our strength in the purity of Christ's original teachings, or will we be weak - and compromise with the world?
What pagan holidays? Are Christmas and Easter pagan holidays?
"It was in the fifth century that the Roman Catholic Church commanded that the birth of Christ be observed forever on December 25th, the day of the old Pagan Roman feast of the birth of Sol, one of the names of their pagan sun-god!" - Encyclopedia Americana, Vol.6, p.623 "THE BIRTHDAY OF Nimrod, the son of the Babylonian Queen, was adopted by the Roman Church, giving it the name of Christ. This tendency on the part of the apostate Church of Rome, to compromise and meet paganism half-way was very early developed."
-The Two Babylons; pg. 93 Alexander Hislop
The Early Christians were STRONG in their faith and they REFUSED to Compromise. "All men will hate you because of me, but he who STANDS FIRM to the end will be saved. At that time men will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory."
(Mark 13:13,26) (New International Version) Yes, True followers of Christ - always refuse to compromise.
24 "No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money." (Matthew 6:24) (NIV) The early Christians were hated by the world around them, for their refusal to compromise with the Roman world. They were considered unpatriotic and anti-social while the Roman world was deep into the frivolity of Saturnalia Winter Celebration on December 25th. For this they were despised. "But what makes you Christian people so offensive is your stubbornness. You are antisocial snobs. You will not show proper respect for our festivals."
--- Glimpses Issue #139 : Why Early Christians Were So Despised; Ken Curtis PH.D., Beth Jacobson, Diana Severance Ph.D., Ann T. Snyder and Dan Graves. ©2003 by Christian History Institute. "The Octavius of Minicius Felix" 2nd century A.D. From: http://chi.gospelcom.net/GLIMPSEF/glmpstt.shtml "We Christians neither cover our doorposts with wreaths, nor... decorate our house like some new brothel. We... do NOT celebrate along with you the holidays... The pagan Romans clad their doorposts with green and branching laurels... In the Saturnalia... Presents come and go... There are... gifts... and Banquets... yet Christians should have no acquaintance with the festivals of the pagans."
- Tertullian, (A.D. 155-220), quoted by David Bercot, A Dictionary of Early Christian Beliefs, 1998, p. 342).What about birthday celebration?
"the earliest Christians simply were NOT interested in celebrating the Nativity. They 'viewed birthday celebrations as heathen'. The third-century church father - Origen had declared it a sin to even think of keeping Christ's birthday 'as though he were a king pharoah'." - December 23,1996 issue of US News & World Report "Christians of the first century did not celebrate the festival honoring the birth of Jesus - for the same reason they honored no other birthday anniversary. It was the feeling at that time by all Christians that the celebration of all birthdays (even the Lord's) was a custom of the pagans." - Dr. John C. McCollister's The Christian Book of Why MEN PLEASERS - or - GOD PLEASERS? "Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would NOT be a servant of Christ."
(Galatians 1:10) (NIV) "You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God." (James 4:4) (NIV) 11 Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, rebuke and expose them. (Ephesians 5:11) (NIV) "Don't team up with those who are unbelievers. How can light live with darkness? What harmony can there be be- tween Christ and the Devil? ...Therefore, come out from them and separate yourselves from them, says the Lord. Don't touch their filthy things..." (2Corinthians 6:14-17) (New Living Translation) "And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition? Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition." (Matthew 15:3,6) (NIV) REFUSING TO COMPROMISE Christ and his early followers were noted for their refusal to compromise. They took death rather than compromise their faith. "An arrested Christian could receive a pardon simply by offering incense on a Roman altar, but many refused to do so, citing scripture passages urging faith in the one God "JEHOVAH". These heroes of the Christians were called "martyrs," a word that means ‘WITNESSES’." - A History of Christianity in Egypt; Birth and Early Growth Their refusal to follow worldly festivals and their refusal to compromise with the pagan world around them caused them to be ridiculed, ostracized, and often persecuted. And yet, they stood firm. What about Easter? Is Easter as bad as Christmas? "Christmas and Easter - These spurious, counterfeit holydays represent a COMPROMISE with paganism, an attempt on the part of the church to convert the heathen by meeting them halfway. But the Scriptures clearly teach that there must be NO Compromise with the evil one on any point. Paul gives the warning: "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron." 1 Timothy 4:1, 2."
-HEATHEN CUSTOMS In the Christian Church; By Murl VanceWhat is so bad about Easter? "It is interesting that the holiest day of the liturgical Christian year, Easter Sunday, bears the name of the pagan sex goddess Eastre and the pagan sun god Solis." -Panati, Charles. Sacred Origins of Profound Things. New York: Penguin Books USA Inc., 1996. "The forms and ceremonies of paganism gradually crept into the worship. Some of the old heathen feasts became church festivals with change of name... " - (Story of the Christian Church, p.79) ; Jesse Lyman Hurlbut "Subtly... the old gods had entered their churches... And they live still in the festivals of Christianity." --(Testament: The Bible and History, Romer, 1988, pp. 230-31). TRUE CHRISTIANS ARE WITHOUT SPOT FROM THE WORLD
"Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is... to keep oneself unstained by the world." (James 1:27) (NASB) "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable..." (1Corinthians 15:58) (New American Standard Bible) "Obey his commands with all purity. Then no one can find fault with you from now until our Lord Jesus Christ returns." (1Timothy 6:14) (NLT) An excellent suggestion considering that our Messiah is indeed coming back to us soon! A SMALL REMNANT - A "CULT" THAT REFUSES TO COMPROMISE Those who refuse to compromise with paganism; those who refuse to celebrate Christmas and Easter are HATED by the World.
Yes, the minority Christians who refuse to compromise with the pagan celebration of Christmas and Easter are hated by the world. But then, they expected that. "If you lived on the world's terms, the world would love you as one of its own. But since I picked you to live on God's terms and no longer on the world's terms, the world is going to hate you."
(John 15:19) (Message Bible) They are labeled as non-Christians and usually looked down upon as being a cult and yet, they are more closely following the teachings of Christ than the majority Christians who openly ignore the Bible's warnings about compromise.
There are over seven million of these Christians who refuse to COMPROMISE with the rest of Christendom. They would rather take the ridicule of apostate Christians than to compromise their faith. They would rather follow closely in Christ's footsteps. Like Christ and the early Christians, they are labeled as a "CULT".
Their refusal to compromise automatically tells who they are. Yes, because they are famous for not following the crowd. They are famous for being different. They are famous for being disliked and for refusing to compromise with the world.
As a group, Jehovah's Witnesses are famous for NOT celebrating Christmas, Easter or birthdays because they refuse to compromise their faith. While the world of Christendom, the nominal Christians, make excuses for celebrating Christmas and Easter, these last thoughts from the Bible will be left with them:
"...in the "LAST DAYS"... They will love fun instead of loving God. They will do things to make it look as if they are Christians. But they will not receive the power that is for a Christian." (2Timothy 3:1,4,5) (New Life Version) "The world and all its desires will pass away. But the man who obeys God and does what He wants done will live forever."
(1John 2:17) (NLV) "Deal as sparingly as possible with the things the world thrusts on you. This world as you see it is on its way out." (1Corinthians 7:31) (MSG) "So leave the corruption and don't COMPROMISE; leave it for good," says God. "Don't link up with those who will pollute you. I want you all for myself." (2Corinthians 6:17) (MSG)
"Like a muddied fountain and a polluted spring is a righteous man who yields, falls down, and compromises his integrity before the wicked." (Proverbs 25:26) (Amplified Bible) Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do NOT do what I say?
(Luke 6:46) (NIV) "On judgment day many will tell me, `Lord, Lord, we prophesied in your name... and performed many miracles in your name.' But I will reply, `I never knew you. Go away; the things you did were unauthorized.' "
(Matthew 7:22,23) (NLT) How important is it to stand firm to the end? "All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands STANDS FIRM to the end will be saved."
(Matthew 10:22-23) (NIV)

| The Power of Prayer Most of the people in this world follow a religion and in many religions is a provision for communicating with a deity. Christendom, especially Catholicism, promotes the idea that mindless repetition of the Lord’s Prayer is the accepted way to pray to their nameless lord and that is exactly what they do. A lot! This is not really what Jehovah, the true God, wants from us. To worship Jehovah properly we need to pray to our Heavenly Father, but not repetitiously. After all, how would we like it if people came up to us and muttered the same phrases to us over and over? People would not conceive of talking to other people like a "broken record", so why do people treat The God who created the universe as if He would like to hear monotonous repetition? Jehovah’s Son never taught that: "But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking." (Matthew 6:7) (King James Version)
People around the world love to pray repetitiously to their false gods, so we should want to avoid being like them. When Christ gave us the "Lord’s prayer", he made it plain that it was a guide to go by: "Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him." (Matthew 6:8) (King James Version) What else do we need to know? A lot more than the bumbling preachers of Christendom teach! Prayer should only be directed to Jehovah – as He requires – not His Son or anybody else! 1 And God spake all these words, saying, 2 I am Jehovah thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. 3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. (Exodus 20:1-3) (ASV) Proper prayer to Jehovah is a serious business. If we want Jehovah to listen to our prayers, we must do it the way He requires. Jehovah has strict requirements but He doesn’t really ask for much! Most people know to pray to Jehovah in His Son’s name. This is why: 6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
(John 14:6) (NIV)
But more importantly,
"If you ask anything in my name, I will do it." (John 14:14) (New Living Translation) Most Christians are more than happy to pray to God in Jesus’ name. About two billion Christians around the world pray to God in Jesus’ name every day. Their first mistake is praying to God without specifying which God. Consequently, Jehovah may disregard their prayers. What is the second mistake? Oddly enough, it is praying in Jesus’ name! And why is that? Jehovah’s Son is not named Jesus! According to the Catholic Encyclopedia: http://www.catholicity.com/encyclopedia/ JESUS The word Jesus is the Latin form of the Greek Iesous, which in turn is the transliteration of the Hebrew Jeshua, or Joshua, or again Jehoshua, meaning "Jehovah is salvation." From: http://www.catholicity.com/encyclopedia/j/jesus_christ,origin_of_name_of.html This is a widespread and popular belief. Many people are already aware that the Son of God’s name in Hebrew is Yeshua or Jeshua. That is True enough. What else is true? "Joshuah" or "Jehoshuah" translates as "The Salvation of Jehovah". "(Joshua) Yahshua/Yahushua/Yahoshua, is the correct Name for the Savior. In all spellings and pronunciation, the Name is rendered to mean "salvation of YAH" or "YAH'S salvation/ (His) Savior." The Name (Joshua) in its fullest translation means, "He (YAH) shall save His people. (Yah or Jah - is an abbreviation for Jehovah) (Just as Yeshua (Joshua) is an abbreviation for Yehoshuah or Jehoshuah) - (meaning - The Salvation of Jehovah - or Jehovah's Savior)."
-COME OUT OF HER MY PEOPLE, by C. J. KosterWe can see that Jehoshuah means "Jehovah's Savior" "The name "Jehoshua" means the same as Joshua."
-Hitchcocks’s Dictionary of Bible NamesSince "Jehoshuah" or "Joshua" literally means "the Salvation of Jehovah" - we can see why people said that he came in his Father's Name. 9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.
(Matthew 21:9) (NIV) We can also see why Jehovah chose this name for his Son - because "Jehoshua" is to be the means by which Jehovah would provide salvation to Mankind. This is in total agreement with the prophet Joel, who said that only those calling upon the name of "Jehovah" would be saved. "And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of Jehovah shall be delivered..."
(Joel 2:32) (ASV) So what is wrong with calling our Savior "Jesus"?
"It is known that the Greek name endings with sus, seus, and sous were attached by the Greeks to names and geographical areas as means to give honour to their supreme deity, Zeus." -Dictionary of Christian Lore and Legend Professor J. C. J. Metford So what does the name, "Jesus" Mean, in Greek? "Some authorities, who have spent their entire lives studying the origins of names believe that "Jesus" actually means - "Hail Zeus!" For Iesous in Greek IS "Hail Zeus." "Ie" translates as "Hail" and "sous" or "sus" translates as Zeus. The English name "Jesus", therefore, stems etymologically from "Jupiter-Zeus" the chief god of the ancient Greek Olympus." -"Yeshua" or "Jesus" -- Which? Biblical Research Institute; 1996 by Les Aron Gosling From: http://www.meguiar.addr.com/End_Times_Table_of_Contents.htm How did "Joshua" mutate into "Jesus"? "And so it is throughout Christendom. The name of Jahwah is ignored by the apostate religion. When the Savior was born into the world his mother was a Hebrew maid of the tribe of Judah; but His Father was the Almighty whose name alone is Jahwah, or Jah. Strong's, Hebrew # 3050; Jah; the sacred name. As He was the Son of Jahwah, it was evident that He would carry His Father's name, and He plainly states saying, " I am come in My Father's Name." John 5; 43. Our translated scripture says that Jahwah's Son's name is Jesus, a compound word of Ie and Zeus. But remember the heavenly messenger spoke unto a Hebrew, and declared His name in the Hebrew, which the writer explained to mean, "Jah is Salvation." This name, Jahshuwah, being Hebrew, was objectionable to the Greeks and Romans, who hated the Judeans, and so it was deleted from the records, and a new name inserted. Jahshuwah was thus replaced by Ie-Sous, now known to us as Jesus. The new religion was known as Christianity, because the supreme deity of it was called Christos, and so we ask, whence came Christos ? The Hebrews called their coming Savior the Messiah. The disciples of the Savior accepted Him as such, and to them He was known as Jahshuwah the Messiah. The Greeks, however, rejected the Hebrew name, and called Him Christos, similar to Chrisna ( Krisna ), name of the deity-savior of the East. Among the people of the East, a sun-god savior was worshipped by the name of Krisna, and so among the Greeks of the new religion the Savior was known as Kristos, or Christos. Thus the Sanskrit name was of the Indian messiah became the name of the messiah of the new religion, and it was known as the new Christian ( Krisna ) faith. They had worshipped Zeus, or Jupiter, as the supreme deity, so now they were told the new name was Theos, or Dios, or God. Their savior was Zeus, so now they were to accept Jesus ( Iesous, or Zeus ). He came in His Father's Name and by that we must adore Him. Away with the pagan name Christ, heathen name Jesus, and exalt the Savior, Jahshuwah, the Son of Jahwah, by His own name."
THE ORIGIN OF CHRISTIANITY: by A.B. Traina From: http://www.meguiar.addr.com/origin_of_christianity.htm Other Scholars agree. "Many people think that we are just trying to be different and make another cult, but let us examine the facts. It is admitted that the Saviour never heard himself addressed as Jesus Christ, not even when Greeks went to Philip and said, "We would see Yahushua" (John 12:20-21). The Greek proselytes knew him as Yahushua, and as the Messiah, for there is no other NAME under heaven, given unto men, whereby we must be saved. The name "Jesus" was never applied to the Saviour during His lifetime, nor for nearly 300 years after His death and resurrection." From: http://yahushua.net/nicolaitan.htm "Jesus. That was a name given to him by the early church many years after His death. They wanted to remove any Jewishness from the new church. They eliminated His Jewish name and blended the name of Zeus into the Christian church to make it comfortable for all those who previously worshipped the Greek and Roman gods. It made it easier for the pagans to become Christians. Since Zeus was the top god of their experience, attaching the name Ioesus to Yahshua gave Him top priority in the worship hierarchy." -Winds of Praise Broadcasting Believer or Follower? The Sound of the Shofar By Jon Thompson So we can plainly see that the name, "Jesus" is the opposite of the name, "Jehoshua". Now that we understand that, we now know better than to pray to a nameless lord in Jesus’ name. Now that "The End" of this world is so near, people have an extra incentive to pray to Jehovah is His Son’s actual name as Bible prophecy requires. "Hail Zeus" or "Salvation of Jehovah"? ...this is what was said through the prophet Joel, "And in the last days," God says... everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved." (Acts 2:16,17,21) (NWT) www.watchtower.org "For the Scripture says... 'everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved.'" (Romans 10:11,13) (NWT) www.watchtower.org
Lastly, we have a quaint way of ending our prayers that has got to stop. Now is a good time! Amen According to the online Encyclopedia Wikipedia: "Amun (also spelled Amon, Amoun, Amen, and rarely Imen, Greek Ἄμμων Ammon, and Ἅμμων Hammon, reconstructed Egyptian Yamānu) was the name of a deity, in Egyptian mythology, who gradually rose to become one of the most important deities in Ancient Egypt, before fading into obscurity."From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amun We have all been tricked into ending our prayers with the name of an Egyptian god! We can be sure that Jehovah does not want to hear that! We can be equally sure that Jehovah does not want to hear "Hail Zeus" either. Our Saviour already knew well in advance and warned us all that many devout followers would make grave mistakes based upon their faulty knowledge. 22 On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ 23 But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’ (Matthew 7:22-23) (NLT) Now is the time to discard utterly worthless beliefs and put true and accurate beliefs to work for us. Successful communication with the true God, our Father, Jehovah, depends on it! 4 But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase." (Daniel 12:4) (ESV) That time is right now!

| Is God's Son Really God? There is a widespread belief by most Christians, known as Trinitarians, that God's Son is God.
Why? What evidence is there that Christ is God, Himself? The lame evidence is shaky at best. Trinitarians rely on only a few scriptures in the Bible to determine that Christ is God and ignore many scriptures that contradict this belief. For example, people have observed that “God said: ‘I am’ numerous times in the Old Testament.” In particular: And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. (Exodus 3:14) (King James Version) And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the LORD which sanctify you. (Leviticus 20:8) (KJV) Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last. (Isaiah 48:12) (KJV) Therefore, senseless people reasoned, if Christ says “I am”, he must also be God too! Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. (John 8:58) (King James Version) Question: Who else said, “I am”? Answer: Everybody! The phrase “I am” occurs hundreds of times in the Bible. Here are some notable examples: And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am. (Genesis 22:1) (KJV) And he said, Art thou my very son Esau? And he said, I am. (Genesis 27:24) (KJV) And Moses said, The people, among whom I am, are six hundred thousand footmen; and thou hast said, I will give them flesh, that they may eat a whole month. (Numbers 11:21) (KJV) And Balaam said unto Balak, Lo, I am come unto thee: have I now any power at all to say any thing? the word that God putteth in my mouth, that shall I speak. (Numbers 22:38) (KJV) And Manoah arose, and went after his wife, and came to the man, and said unto him, Art thou the man that spakest unto the woman? And he said, I am. (Judges 13:11) (KJV) And Saul said, Hear now, thou son of Ahitub. And he answered, Here I am, my lord. (1Samuel 22:12) (KJV) Then Abner looked behind him, and said, Art thou Asahel? And he answered, I am. (2Samuel 2:20) (KJV) And when he was come near unto her, the woman said, Art thou Joab? And he answered, I am he. (2Samuel 20:17) (KJV) But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; (1Corinthians 15:10) (New International Version) So, are all of these people God too? But wait! he also said: I and my Father are one. (John 10:30) (KJV) Does this mean that Christ and his Father are one God together? What does Christ say? 20Then you will know that I am one with the Father. You will know that you are one with me, and I am one with you. (John 14:20) (Contemporary English Version) My prayer for all of them is that they will be one, just as you and I are one, Father--that just as you are in me and I am in you, so they will be in us, and the world will believe you sent me. (John 17:21) (New Living Translation) Maybe not. He just meant that Jehovah, His Son and the followers are one in purpose, not one big group of gods. Did God's Son ever once say: “I am God! Worship me!” No such statement exists in the entire Bible. What does he actually say about his Father? "...but the world must learn that I love the Father and that I do exactly what my Father has commanded me." (John 14:31)(NIV) "…I have obeyed my Father's commands…" (John 15:10)(NIV) So He said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God…" Matthew 19:17 (NIV) "This is because I have NEVER spoken on My own authority or of My own accord or as self-appointed, but the Father Who sent me has Himself given me 'orders' concerning what to say and what to tell." (John 12:49) (Amplified Bible) What did the Apostles have to say about Christ? Did they think he was God? It was at this time that He went off to the mountain to pray, and He spent the whole night in prayer to God. " (Luke 6:12) (New American Standard Bible) "God had the power to save Jesus from death. And while Jesus was on earth, he begged God with loud crying and tears to save him. He truly worshiped God, and God listened to his prayers. Jesus is God's own Son, but still he had to suffer before he could learn what it really means to obey God." (Hebrews 5:7,8) (CEV) Does this mean that God has to learn how to obey Himself? That is stupid! People who want to believe that Christ is God have to ignore a lot of scripture that clearly says otherwise. 6 who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. (Philippians 2:6,7) (NASB) "Christ was humble. He obeyed God..." (Philippians 2:8) (CEV) According to the scriptures, God spoke many times, or was His Son a ventriloquist? 16As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. 17And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased." (Matthew 3:16,17) (NIV) "Here is my servant whom I have chosen, the one I love, in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him, and he will proclaim justice to the nations." (Matthew 12:18) (NIV) 5While he was still speaking, a bright cloud enveloped them, and a voice from the cloud said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!" 6When the disciples heard this, they fell face down to the ground, terrified. (Matthew 17:5-6) (NIV) So if Christ is the Son of God, Who exactly is God? 8 I am Jehovah, that is my name; and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise unto graven images. (Isaiah 42:8) (American Standard Version) 11 I, even I, am Jehovah; and besides me there is no saviour. (Isaiah 43:11) (ASV) 6 Thus saith Jehovah, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, Jehovah of hosts: I am the first, and I am the last; and besides me there is no God. (Isaiah 44:6) (ASV) 5 I am Jehovah, and there is none else; besides me there is no God. I will gird thee, though thou hast not known me; 6 that they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none besides me: I am Jehovah, and there is none else. (Isaiah 45:5,6) (ASV) 18 For thus saith Jehovah that created the heavens, the God that formed the earth and made it, that established it and created it not a waste, that formed it to be inhabited: I am Jehovah; and there is none else. (Isaiah 45:18) (ASV) Here we see that Jehovah clearly did not designate anybody else, not even his son, to be God or equal to Him in any way. But then, Jehovah has always been that way:
1 And God spake all these words, saying, 2 I am Jehovah thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. (Exodus 20:1-4) (ASV)
